Hi! Welcome to Our Virtual Campaign Office.
We are SO glad you’re here!
My name is Joy Treadwell, and I’m incredibly proud to be a longtime City of South Fulton homeowner, teacher, successful small business owner, and candidate for the open South Fulton District 2 City Council seat.

About Me
I’m Joy Treadwell, a lifelong advocate for education, equity, and community progress. For more than 20 years, I’ve worked to bring people together to solve problems, strengthen neighborhoods, and create opportunities for every resident to thrive. I actively serve my community as a United Way VIP graduate, proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., mentor with the University of Georgia, and volunteer with the ACLU.
As CEO of CT3 Education, I’ve led national initiatives that transformed schools, empowered educators, and improved student outcomes. Whether in a classroom, at a community meeting, or in a boardroom, my approach has always been the same: listen to the people most impacted, understand their needs, and take action that delivers results.
I’m a neighbor, a mentor, and a problem-solver who will bring the same dedication and results-driven leadership to City Hall that I’ve brought to every role in my career. I believe in leading where you are planted by showing up, listening, and acting with integrity for the community you call home. In other words, I bring real-world experience, not political gamesmanship.
I am a leader who knows the truest tenet of leadership: to serve.
Issues
Increase Accountability
South Fulton deserves leadership that is transparent, responsive, and focused on results for the people who live here.
Holding our city leadership to the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and results. That means ensuring every decision is guided by the needs and voices of South Fulton residents, not special interests or politics. Fiscal integrity will remain a top priority, ensuring your tax dollars are used wisely and effectively.
Build Regional Partnerships
South Fulton doesn’t stand alone. We’re part of a larger region that includes seven neighboring cities, and I will ensure our city has a respected, active seat at every table where regional decisions are made about
- public safety
- housing stability
- transportation access
- economic development
By collaborating across city lines, we can share resources, prepare for emergencies together, and advocate for state and federal support that benefits all our residents. As a true team player on the council, I’ll work with neighboring cities, the Atlanta Regional Commission, Aerotropolis, and other government agencies to build a stronger South Fulton.
Enhance Quality of Life
Quality of life means more than just public safety. It’s about feeling secure, valued, and cared for in every stage of life. Having experienced deep personal loss, I know how important it is for a community to be there when you need it most, through strong support networks, timely help, and resources that meet people where they are. I am committed to improving:
- emergency response times
- expanding access to quality healthcare
- supporting housing stability
- strengthening social services
A Vision for South Fulton
We can be a city where our neighborhoods are safe, our schools are strong, our seniors are respected, and our local economy gives everyone a fair shot. We have the will, the wisdom, and the community spirit to create lasting change.
As Maya Angelou said, “When you know better, [you] do better.” Together, we know our worth—and together, we can do better for South Fulton.
